According to Portuguese paper A Bola, Benfica winger Angel di Maria will be Real Madrid’s primary target in the summer. The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu for a couple of years now, but it is believed that Los Blancos will significantly step up efforts to sign the talented youngster this time around.

A Bola reports that there has already been informal contact between the player and the club, and figures of around €40M are being speculated as the amount Real Madrid will have to part with in order to acquire the talented Argentinean.

Negotiations are believed to be made easier, as Di Maria is reported to be represented by Jorge Mendes, Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, who holds a very pleasant relationship with the La Liga giants.
