Manager Roy Hodgson insists nothing has been achieved after Fulham held on for a goalless draw against Hamburg in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie last night. Asked whether his side felt on the verge of victory, The Cottagers’ boss responded, “It would be worse than dangerous, it would be downright foolish."
With still another match to be staged at Craven Cottage, the highly respected manager is quick to point out there is plenty still to do for his over-achieving side, "We are at half-time, and we have to play another 90 minute half. Not many people leave stadiums at half-time, or go for a cup of tea thinking the game has been won.”
Fulham will like their chances going into the match however, having dramatically dumped giants Juventus out of the tournament at Craven Cottage earlier in the tournament.
