Manchester City have been dealt a blow with the news that keeper Shay Given will miss the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder against Arsenal. The Irish number one, widely considered one of the best in the Premier League, has been key in City’s top four push this season, and his coach was counting on him for their remaining games.
Reacting to the news City boss Roberto Mancini said: "Shay’s injury will be a problem. This is not good for us because he is a fantastic goalkeeper."
Mancini will also have been disappointed to leave the Emirates with just a 0-0 draw, as top four rivals Tottenham Hotspur went down to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
