According to Spanish paper Marca, Real Madrid will be looking to reinforce the left side of their defence next year, and are considering making bids for Arsenal’s Gael Clichy, Fenerbache’s Andre Santos, and Deportivo La Coruna’s Luis Filipe to name a few.

Manchester United’s Patrice Evra looks to be the club’s primary target however, with Los Blancos reportedly prepared to part with a massive sum of €22M in order to capture the impressive Frenchman. The 28-year-old has been a rock for The Red Devils since 2006, and has just recently been named the season’s best left back in the Premier League.

Real Madrid are believed to be banking on Cristiano Ronaldo’s friendship with the left-back in order to convince Evra to trade life with the three-time successive league champions for the glamour of the La Liga giants.
