According to Spanish paper Marca, Lassana Diarra could be on his way back to England after seeing team-mate Fernando Gago become the preferred option in midfield. The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth player looked to be on his way to becoming a regular with Los Blancos, but the coming of form of other individuals has seen his appearances suffer.
Although not playing as regularly as he would like, Diarra is still rated very highly by plenty of clubs, with Liverpool, and Manchester United in particular, believed to be very interested in signing the disgruntled player.
In order to acquire the young midfielder’s services however, Marca claims clubs will need to be willing to part with a sum of €20M.
