According to France Football, midfielder Karim Ziani is plotting a return to France, after a horrible season with Wolfsburg, whom he joined in the summer from Olympique Marseille. The Algerian international has managed a total of just nine appearances since his move, and is desperate to end his Bundesliga nightmare.
Ziani is reported to be interested in possibly moving to Monaco, who are currently lying innocuously in the middle of the Ligue 1 standings. The crafty midfielder is understandably anxious to get more playing time under his belt, and feels a return to France will be the best venue for this.
The former Marseille regular represented Algeria in the recent Africa Cup of Nations, where his nation knocked out pre-tournament favourites Ivory Coast in the quarter-finals.
