Franck Ribery has made his first public comments regarding the underage prostitute scandal which has involved the Bayern Munich star along with a number of other French national team players.

The French international has already been questioned by police and admitted having relations with the Zahia Dehar, though denied he knew she was underage.

Speaking about the subject following Bayern’s win over Bochum in the Bundesliga yesterday, Ribery said: "It hurts my family very much, I have to say it."

It has yet to be revealed whether charges will be pressed against Ribery and the winger faces a nervous wait which will not conclude until after the World Cup, as French police have reportedly put the case on hold until the tournament is over.
