According to Catalan daily Sport, Arsenal’s Russian sensation Andrei Arshavin has expressed his desire to move to record-breaking side Barcelona sometime in the future of his career. Despite only arriving from Zenit Saint Petersburg in last year’s January transfer window, there has already been plenty of speculation that the 28-year-old is seeking a move away from the North London club.

"I always dream about going to Spain and playing in the best team in the world,” said Arshavin. “I want to play for the best team and try to win all competitions. I want to play for them and this will never change.”

The Russian has experienced an eventful first full season with Arsenal, with plenty of improvement in the side, but no trophies to show. An increased chance of silverware could prove to be a significant factor in Arshavin’s decision to remain or leave the club.
