Despite snatching a late 3-2 victory at the weekend, Cristiano Ronaldo slammed Real Madrid’s performance against Osasuna at the weekend. The Portuguese standout, who scored the vital winner to keep Los Blancos in the La Liga title race, claims the squad can no longer afford such lacklustre displays.

"In my opinion, the entire team did not do well, from the front men, to the middle and the backline,” Ronaldo said on Spanish paper Marca. We can not concede goals that could endanger our season. We must consider that we are playing for the league and we must be more concentrated. It can not happen again, because on another occasion we may not be able to claw our way back.”

The gap between leaders Barcelona and Real remains at a single point, meaning any slip-up from either club could prove very significant in the title race.
