After massively boosting their bid to capture fourth place with a convincing win over Aston Villa, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has his eyes firmly set on dethroning current fourth spot holders Tottenham Hotspur, who they play in midweek.

It’s going to be a final. We wanted one final this year and we have it,” Mancini said on the league’s official website. "Now we must win against Tottenham, we have to play like we did against Aston Villa, we must be strong. It’s maybe the most important game in the last year and we must win."

Should Man city triumph over Harry Redknapp’s Spurs, The Blues will be in prime position to be playing Champions League football next season.
