According to France Football, the German football federation has announced that they will not be recalling Schalke’s in form Kevin Kuranyi to the German squad, after the Brazilian-born striker was considered for reinstatement into the team that he walked out on back in 2008.
Due to the lack of attacking options available to coach Joachim Low, the German federation deliberated whether the 28-year-old national team outcast deserved a chance to represent his country once again in the World Cup. After much consideration, it was decided that the disgraced striker should remain in exile from representing Germany.
Kuranyi, who is also reported to be on the move to Dynamo Moscow next season, has scored 20 goals in 32 matches played in all competitions this season.
