According to transfermarkt.de, former England manager Steve McClaren is being tipped as the solution to putting Wolfsburg back on the top of the Bundesliga standings. Just a season after shocking Germany by winning the league, the unexpected 2009 champions are currently sitting in eighth in the table.

This has led to speculation that interim manager Lorenz-Gunther Kostner could be on his way out of the club, in favour of the FC Twente manager, who guided his side to a very impressive title-winning campaign in the Dutch Eredivisie.

McClaren has bounced back in style after his disastrous spell as England manager, becoming the first English manager since Bobby Robson in 1996 to win a major European league title.
