Chelsea captain John Terry is convinced the title is within the grasp of the Blues, but is adamant his side will not be taking Wigan Athletic lightly. Should Carlo Ancelotti’s side obtain victory, they will ensure themselves their first Premier League title since 2006.
“It was a really professional performance [against Liverpool] with great support from the fans, they were brilliant and it is looking good,” the former England skipper said on the club’s official website. “I want to get my hands on that trophy again but the job is not done yet and it is going to be a tough game [against Wigan].”
Wigan were once the architects of a last-day collapse from Chelsea two years ago, and could once again be the team to heap misery on the Blues.
