Manchester United third-choice goalkeeper Ben Foster has revealed his intentions to go out on loan next season in order to be involved in a more consistent run of Premier League matches. With Manchester City’s Joe Hart benefiting massively from his stint with Birmingham City this season, the 27-year-old shot-stopper is looking for similar opportunites.
“You can see what it (loan) has done for Joe Hart this season,” Foster explained on premierleague.com. “He has gone to Birmingham and done wonders. He is a fantastic keeper and by playing week in, week out he has shown just how you can progress. It is hard to do that if you are stuck on the bench or getting the odd chance here or there so it might be something to consider.”
With Hart expected to return to Man City next season, Foster is being linked as the youngster’s replacement at St. Andrews.
