Real Madrid youngster Esteban Granero has hailed Portuguese sensation Cristiano Ronaldo as a vital player in the Los Blancos squad, after the former World Player of the Year scored a spectacular hat-trick against Mallorca in midweek
“He’s a natural leader and an incredible footballer. He tries to showcase his superior skill whenever he’s on the pitch,” the 22-year-old Spaniard said on Spanish daily Marca. “He knows how to see the weaknesses in a team, which he sets out to exploit when the opportunity arises."
The former Manchester United star has had no problems settling in at Real Madrid, where he has managed a remarkable 32 goals in 33 appearances in his first season with the club. His impressive efforts may be put to waste should Barcelona continue to win however, as it would mean a trophy-less season for Los Blancos.
