Fulham boss Roy Hodgson believes UEFA may yet have to postpone the Europa League final scheduled for Wednesday because of disruption likely to be caused by the volcanic ash cloud from Iceland.
Both Fulham and Liverpool were affected and had to travel by road to the first leg of their semi-final games in Spain and Germany respectively, and now the cloud is affecting Spanish airspace.
"If Madrid is in the same situation, UEFA should show some flexibility and try to find a solution that would allow us to postpone the meeting until everyone can go there by plane", said Hodgson.
The Fulham boss also expressed concern for the thousands of fans who would want to make the journey.
