Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann will remain with the club for at least another year, after the 37-year-old helped the team remain in England’s top flight, and met an appearance stipulation to activate an automatic contract extension.
“It’s great that the contract is all sorted and kicks in automatically," he told the club’s official website. "I’m really enjoying it here and we’ve really settled in. My wife is happy, the kids are happy and I’ve got another shot at the Premier League. It always seems to be that little bit tougher the second season.”
The former Reading keeper experienced relegation in the Royal’s second season in the Premier League, and he is hoping to avoid the same fate with Wolves.
