Arsenal Chief Executive Officer Ivan Gazidis has expressed his confidence in reaching an agreement to extend Arsene Wenger’s 13-year tenure as manager of the Gunners. The business executive is convinced the Frenchman is the perfect person to drive the club forward and is adamant that the coach will continue to do so.
"If I thought he did not have ambition and was not the most capable person we would have a different conversation,” Gazidis said on the club’s official website. “But in terms of his contract extension it is something we very much want to get done, it will happen and will be announced at the right time."
Despite another barren season in terms of silverware for Arsenal, Wenger has developed an intriguing prospect for the Gunners’ fans, as the young players of the side look to be reaching the proper maturity levels to make a real push in all competitions next season.
