After making a triumphant return to management with Olympique Marseille, manager Didier Deschamps has signalled his intention to remain with the French club further than his initial contract which concludes June of next year.
After a hiatus following a brief stint with Juventus, Deschamps took over at the Ligue 1 side, and brought the club its first league title in 18 years. The triumph also completed a domestic double, as he had guided Marseille to French League Cup glory as well earlier in the season.
When asked about the possibility of remaining with OM, Deschamps responded on France Football, “Yes, it’s possible that I extend, especially since the president (Jean-Claude Dassier) has said that’s what he wants!”
