Following confirmation that Leonardo will be leaving his position as AC Milan coach at the end of the season, the Rossoneri are already assessing which players should stay and which should go. According to Telelombardia, one star that has been made available for transfer is French midfielder Mathieu Flamini.
The former Arsenal enforcer has struggled to impose himself on Serie A and Milan believe that €5M salary paid to the Frenchman could be put to better use elsewhere.
There is sure to be interest in the 26-year-old, with many believing Arsenal have missed the player since his departure. As a proven Premier League performer, England appears the safest bet as to Flamini’s eventual destination.
