Lazio forward Mauro Zarate has told the Italian media he wishes to stay with the Rome club. The Biancazzurri endured a difficult season in Serie A and only managed to pull away from the relegation zone in the latter half of the season.
Zarate told the press, "I want to stay at Lazio" after the final day home victory over Udinese. The Argentine striker is expected to be under consideration by several clubs in the summer transfer window, but it is thought Lazio will not accept anything less than €30M for his services.
The 23-year-old cost the Serie A side €20M from Al-Saad and has had a buy-out clause of €60M inserted into his contract.
