Although the Reds are not going to be competing in the Champions League next season, manager Rafael Benitez is convinced “Liverpool is a massive club and can attract top-class players because of their name and their history and the quality we have in the squad.”
The Spanish tactician has admitted the club are looking at some players to bring in during the summer transfer window, but refused to give any details. Speaking on premierleague.com he said, “Always we have targets in mind. We have been working and preparing the targets and every year is the same.”
It is believed Benitez’s main challenge this summer however, will be trying to convince influential duo Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard to remain at Anfield.
