After overcoming a period of uncertainty at Liverpool, Ryan Babel is prepared to push on and have a successful World Cup campaign with the Netherlands. The 23-year-old is yet to be confirmed in the 23-man squad for the tournament, but he is hopeful to feature in what will be his second time participating in the competition.

"I am still not sure if I’m going to be in the squad but that is the aim for me to play in the World Cup finals for Holland," Babel told Liverpoolfc.tv. "The World Cup is something special for every footballer. I was 18 when I was in the squad in 2006 and it was a great experience.”

Babel was heavily linked with a move away from the Reds back in the January transfer window, but the youngster has sorted issues out with the club and is looking happy to remain with the Merseyside giants.
