Catalan daily Sport claims Barcelona are getting ever closer to making their second massive signing of the summer transfer window, as negotiations with Arsenal over the transfer Cesc Fabregas are believed to be going well.

Although the difference in the clubs’ valuation of the player is still a key issue, reports claim the talented midfielder’s strong desire to return to Barca will be the decisive factor in the Spanish international leaving the Gunners for Pep Guardiola’s record-breaking side.

It is believed that Fabregas is growing disillusioned with Arsenal’s inability to obtain any silverware, and is desperate to join a Barca side that is at its peak. The 23-year-old has only won the FA Cup in seven seasons with the Gunners.
