According to Spanish daily Marca, Valencia are prepared to offload their second star in quick succession, after recently allowing David Villa to leave for Barcelona. Winger David Silva is believed to be on his way to Real Madrid, in a deal that is expected to be wrapped up by next week.

Los Blancos have made the crafty winger their priority signing for the summer, and are believed to be working tirelessly in trying to wrap up the deal as soon as possible. The Madrid club are aware there is interest from Premier League clubs Manchester City and Arsenal, and want to avoid getting into a bidding war with the two.

Silva had a magnificent 2009/10 season, scoring ten goals making 12 assists in 36 appearances for Valencia, the 24-year-old’s best ever output in a campaign so far.
