With David Villa finally being allowed to leave Valencia to join Barcelona, Andres Iniesta feels his side have acquired the “perfect” signing. The two have had plenty of experience playing alongside each other for Spain, and the talented midfielder is convinced the prolific front-man will have no problems adjusting to his new team.

Speaking on Catalan daily Sport, Iniesta, who labels Villa as “world class player” believes the striker’s ability to perform at “a very high level wherever he plays” will ensure that Barcelona will improve even more next season.

The coveted striker averaged a spectacular average of roughly 26 goals in five seasons with Valencia. Villa has been equally prolific on the international scene, boasting a total of 36 goals in 55 appearances for Spain. With his capture, Barca have acquired a tried and tested goal scoring machine.
