With plenty of speculation linking him with a move to the MLS with the New York Red Bulls, Thierry Henry, who is currently preparing for the World Cup with France, has insisted that no deals have been agreed for him to leave current club Barcelona.
Despite sources in the United States reporting that a deal had been agreed to bring the former Arsenal hero to the MLS, Henry claims, “At the moment, there is nothing true. I am a Barcelona player and I still have one more year on my contract.”
With the development of youngster Pedro however, the France captain has found appearances extremely difficult to come by. After helping Barcelona win six trophies in the 2008/09 season with 26 goals, the 32-year-old managed only four this season. Despite his denial of any move being completed, Henry’ future looks ever more likely to be away from the Catalan giants.
