He might not have scored in the Champions League final, but Inter striker Samuel Eto'o has still entered into the history books. Lifting the European Cup last night, Eto'o recorded a repeat treble of trophies after completing a similar feat with Barcelona last season.
The Cameroon striker, sent packing by Barcelona, becomes the first player to win his domestic league, domestic cup and the Champions League in successive seasons. Thus a place in the history books is assured.
Eto'o, taken to Milan by Jose Mourinho, will no doubt weigh up his future in the wake of the Portuguese's expected departure to Real Madrid. But for the moment he can bask in the glow of six major winners medals in two years.
