Former Arsenal player Alexander Hleb will be returning to prove himself at Barcelona, according to his agent. The Belarusian was shipped out on loan to Stuttgart at the start of the season, after failing to make a real impact with the Catalan giants upon his transfer from the Gunners back in 2008.

The 29-year-old still has two years left in his contract with Barca, and his agent is adamant this will be honoured, as he said to Catalan daily Sport, “Hleb will return to Barca next season. He wants to show everyone he can play at the club, which is currently the best team in the world.

After a successful return to Stuttgart, where he played for five season before joining Arsenal, Hleb is now convinced he has what it take to overcome the intense competition for places at the Spanish club.
