Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is excited to compete for Holland in the World Cup, but admits his side are not among the favourites to win the competition. Although he feels his side are filled with quality players, he sees three particular nations with the best chance.

Speaking to the club’s official website Kuyt said, "It’s difficult to say if Holland can win the World Cup. Everyone is asking me that and asking who the favourites are. For me, Spain, England and Brazil are the main favourites, but after that you always have countries like Argentina, Germany and Italy who push.”

Kuyt was still a child in 1988, when his nation last experienced winning a major international trophy, claiming the European Championships. He recalls the celebrations were magnificent though, and is hoping he can send his country into delirium once again by winning in South Africa.
