Despite being just 23 years old, goalkeeper Joe Hart is likely to be on his way to the World Cup in June. After an incredible season on loan to Birmingham City that saw him named in the PFA Team of the Year, the Manchester City player has forced his way into Fabio Capello’s selection.

The young shot-stopper was quick to give credit to Birmingham manager Alex McLeish for putting faith in his abilities, saying on premierleague.com, "Fabio Capello made it very clear that you had to be playing regularly to stand a chance of being involved with England, so what happened at Birmingham is 100 per cent why I'm here.”

Hart has been included in the provisional 30-man squad along with fellow goalkeepers David James of Portsmouth and Robert Green of West Ham United.
