Johan Elmander has expressed his desire to remain at Bolton Wanderers for at least another season, after admitting that manager Owen Coyle, who took over at the Reebok Stadium in the January transfer window, has been the best boss he has had in his career.
The Swedish striker found consistency a problem under former manager Gary Megson after his transfer from Toulouse in 2008, and consequently saw himself drop down the pecking order. With the arrival of Coyle however, Elmander was given a chance to play regularly, and the 28-year-old is prepared to pay back the faith the former Burnley boss placed in him.
“I have one year left with Bolton and really feel that this is the thing, it’s now that things start, the former Brondby player said on the leagues official website. He is honest, and I appreciate that. He is the best manager I’ve had.”
