Inter could be considering moving for England coach Fabio Capello as a replacement for departing boss Jose Mourinho.

The race to succeed Jose Mourinho as Inter manager appears to have begun, even before the Portuguese boss has left the club. As president Massimo Moratti searches for the perfect replacement, reports in Italy suggest the Inter supremo could hold an interest in current England coach Fabio Capello.

Gazzetta dello Sport believe that Moratti thinks the England boss may well be the perfect choice to keep Inter at the top of the Italian game in the post-Mourinho era. And furthermore, that the ex-AC Milan coach may be tempted after the World Cup.

Moratti has tried once before to convince Capello to take his place in the Inter dugout, in 2006, but the Italian could not be persuaded.

A potential stumbling block could be Capello's salary, as the England coach is well paid by international standards.
