Roma may want to keep midfielder Daniele De Rossi in the Italian capital, but the player himself may not be totally opposed to a move.

"If Roma say to me that for economic reasons I should go, then I leave" said De Rossi.

The Serie A star has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, with the Spanish believed to be keen on the 27-year-old's signature. It is not a move that would worry De Rossi.

"I want to stay in Rome, but I cannot say that it would be a sacrifice to join Real."

While Roma may talk tough over their midfield star, it is widely thought a bid of between €40-50M would be enough to tempt them to part with De Rossi.
