Barcelona are being forced to wait for developments surrounding Cesc Fabregas and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to become clearer before they are able to move on to other transfer targets. Camp Nou transfer supremo Txiki Begiristain has a number of player names on his desk, but cannot splash out large sums of money until the situation becomes clearer.
Begiristain could yet take advantage of the confused situation at Real Madrid to pounce ahead of Los Blancos to sign Benfica's Angel Di Maria, but Barcelona have their own issues to address.
Also firmly in the wanted section is Valencia's Juan Mata. A fee of €23M has been mooted, but again, developments concerning Fabregas and Ibrahimovic need to be settled first.
Finally, Mallorca man Chroi Castro has impressed Barcelona this season and could be an alternative arrival should other plans not come to fruition.
