Serie A side Napoli are keen on former Lyon striker Fred. The Italians must prepare for an assault on next season's Europa League and are keen to boost the firepower at their disposal.
Fred turned out for Lyon between 2005 and 2009, but then chose to head back to his homeland, signing for Fluminense.
Napoli sporting director Riccardo Neapolitan told Radio Marte of Fred's appeal. "He knew the Champions League with Lyon and is playing well for Fluminense."
The Italians are also reported to be interested in Luca Toni as they plan to improve on last season's 6th place finish.
