Auxerre's Polish striker Ireneusz Jelen has emerged as a transfer target for Ligue 1 champions Marseille according to France Football. The 29-year-old has scored goals regularly in the French top flight and is open to a move away from the Stade l'Abbe Deschamps.

Jelen is under contract with Auxerre until 2012, but told L'Equipe that he has a clause in his contract saying he can leave for just €3M. This is likely to have alerted Marseille all the more.

The Poland star went on to say that a move to the south coast would "not frighten me", and also that his future should be settled before 10th June. Auxerre will hope to hold onto their striking star, but at just €3M there will be many clubs who will be willing to take a chance on Jelen.
