Although Jose Mourinho claimed in his unveiling yesterday that he is generally happy with the current Real Madrid squad, he indicated that Los Blancos were three or four signings away from becoming a complete team. According to Spanish paper Marca, the self-procliaimed “Special One” is eyeing the capture of two defenders, a winger, and a creative midfielder.
First on the Portuguese tactician’s list is the capture of Serie A defenders Maicon (Inter Milan), and Aleksander Kolarov (Lazio), who is dubbed “The new Roberto Carlos”. He also has his sights set on attempting to lure either AS Roma’s Daniel De Rossi, or Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard to partner Xabi Alonso in the middle of midfield.
Lastly, Mourinho is eyeing the capture of either Sevilla’s Jesus Navas or Benfica’s Angel di Maria to bolster the wings, where he claimed the squad is the weakest at the moment.
