Wolfsburg’s coveted striker Edin Dzeko is reportedly on the verge of moving to the Premier League, with Manchester City. The mega-rich club have been linked with the highly-rated player for the last few days, and it seems as if a deal will be announced sooner rather than later, according to French paper L’Equipe.

Dzeko has scored 65 goals in all competitions in his last two seasons with Wolfsburg, making it no surprise why he his being tracked by some of the biggest clubs in Europe. AC Milan were desperate to get a hold of his services last year, but found his price tag too expensive.

Man City on the other hand are willing to shell out the cash needed to purchase the 24-year-old, and are believed to have paid the €40M needed to meet the young striker’s buy-out clause with his current club, where he is contracted until 2013.
