Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic is excited to be participating in his first ever World Cup, but he understands the experience could be short-lived if Serbia do not get out of a difficult group including Germany, Ghana and Australia. The 26-year-old believes in order to succeed in the tournament, his team will have to rediscover the form that got them into the World Cup in the first place.

We qualified in first position ahead of France, which was very good for us, we did a lot of good things and we have to continue to play like we did in the qualifiers,” Ivanovic claimed on the club’s official website.

The 26-year-old, who was awarded a place in the PFA’s 2009/10 Team of the Year, is a key member of a Serbia side that is tipped by many to be the dark horses of the prestigious tournament.
