According to reports from France Football, Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has already decided to leave the London club in favour of a different team. Although it is still uncertain where the 28-year-old is going to be plying his trade next season, rumours link Manchester United and Arsenal as his prime destinations.

The 28-year-old became player for Chelsea after his transfer from West Ham United in 2003, but injuries in his last two seasons have kept him on the sidelines for long periods of time. Although signs of his quality were apparent upon his return to fitness, his expiring contract seems unlikely to be renewed.

Despite being deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, Cole is still likely to end up in a world-class club.
