According to Spanish paper AS, Olympique Marseille have their sights set on trying to prise striker Diego Forlan away from Ateltico Madrid. The French side captured the Ligue 1 title for the first time in 18 years last season, and are desperate to add to their squad to ensure success is achieved again in the next campaign

Manager Didier Deschamps has outlined the need for a new striker to be added to their line-up, and Diego Forlan is his primary target in the summer transfer window. It is reported that OM are willing to part with €20M to €25M in order to capture the Uruguayan international.

Forlan is one of the most coveted strikers in Europe, having scored 28 goals in 55 appearances for Atletico last season.
