Upon his arrival at Real Madrid, Jose Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to take his former player, Maicon, with him to the Santiago Bernabeu. In response to speculation linking him with a reunion with the Portuguese tactician, the Inter Milan defender revealed his wishes on Spanish paper AS.
“I do not want to go to Manchester City, I want to play at Real Madrid. This would be an honour and a great opportunity in my career,” Maicon said. “I have a great relationship with him (Mourinh), it would be an honor to be, once again, under his leadership. It is very important for a player to have the confidence of his coach.”
Maicon’s public proclamation of his desire to make the switch from Inter Milan to Real, could possibly lead to Mourinho getting his wish to continue his relationship with the talented Brazilian defender.
