Striker Gonzalo Higuain has expressed his extreme delight at Jose Mourinho’s appointment as Real Madrid manager, as he feels the arrival of the Portuguese tactician is an assurance of success next season. The 22-year-old, who is considered by the former Inter Milan boss as being crucial to his plans, is currently on World Cup duty with Argentina.

Without a doubt, he is a coach who is a guarantee of success,” Higuain said in an interview with Spanish paper AS “He is a winner and all the success he has enjoyed in other clubs will translate into Madrid as well.”

Higuain, together with Cristiano Ronaldo formed the most lethal strike-partnership in La Liga, scoring a combined total of 53 goals in the league.
