Manchester City midfielder Vincent Kompany has revealed his extreme belief in the plans of his club to become a world-class force in football. Although labelled by some simply as a mega-rich side hell-bent on acquiring the best players at whatever cost, the Belgian insists there is more to Man City than just the money.

Manchester City is all about a vision,” Kompany said on the league’s official website. “The owner clearly didn’t come in just to buy a bunch of players, he came in with a vision – a project, something far more rewarding than just winning a trophy, something that’s lasting.”

With an influx of quality players expected to arrive at Eastlands in the summer transfer window, Man City will be expected to push for major silverware next season.
