The Dutch football federation has allayed fears winger Arjen Robben will miss the World Cup, releasing a statement that read, "The injury is less serious than had been first assessed.” Coach Bert van Marwijk added, "Therefore, for the moment, I’m not going to replace Arjen. I will give him every chance to take part in our team later in the tournament.”

Robben sustained a small tear in his thigh during Holland’s friendly against Hungary. The Bayern Munich star was in top form again for the Oranje, scoring twice en route to a 6-1 destruction before suffering the unfortunate injury.

Although the former Chelsea and Real Madrid player is expected to be fit to play before the World Cup ends, the injury is a massive blow for the Netherlands, who will miss out on the services of a 100% fit Robben.
