According to reports on Catalan daily Sport, Premier League club Chelsea are interested in luring Sergio Ramos away from Real Madrid. Los Blancos, who failed to win any silverware last season, have so far failed to seal any acquisitions in the January transfer window, but could be on the verge of losing some of their players.
Ramos is the latest to be linked with a move from the Santiago Bernabeu, with Chelsea understood to be willing to part with roughly €27M to acquire the 24-year-old. The defender joined Real in the summer of 2005 from Sevilla, becoming an immediate regular.
New manager of the Madrid club, Jose Mourinho, has expressed his desire to play Ramos in a more central position, and it’s speculated that the Spanish international, who has recently played for club and country at right-back, is unsure over the positional change.
