Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho may have to look for other options to bring to the club, as primary targets Maicon and Diego Milito of Inter Milan, are looking unlikely to complete any move. The Italian club’s president Massimo Moratti is insistent on keeping the two players, who were vital in the team’s treble success last season.
“He is a very important piece of this team,” the Inter head said on Corriere dello Sport when asked about speculation linking Maicon with a move away from the club. “He is a player that has decided plenty of games for us in tight situations." he concluded.
Moratti also expressed his desire to keep the Champions League final’s two-goal here Milito at the club, claiming the Argentinean was “not for sale” and would be playing at Inter next season.
