Wolverhampton Wanderers have been busy in the summer transfer window, already snapping up Belgian defender Jelle Van Damme and Scottish international Steven Fletcher. Manager Mick McCarthy is happy with how the club have gone about their business so far, but hasn’t ruled out more signings before the window closes.
"We’d been trying to do Jelle for quite a well and now Steven. It makes us a better squad already with two very good players," the Wolves boss said on the club’s official website. “I’m really pleased to have got two done as early as we have done like we did last year. But we’re still looking for more and still looking to improve."
Wolves finished 15th in the Premier League standings last season, and are doing their best to reinforce a side that will attempt to ensure continued exposure in England’s top flight.
