Although former Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze admits that “the whole world awaits to see” Lionel Messi, “the world’s best player” in the World Cup, he is admant that “Argentina is not dependent” solely on the young phenomenon.
The Olympique Marseille player believes that each player that steps out on the field for Deigo Maradona’s side is equally important in their bid to win the World Cup in South Africa.
Heinze also expresses his desire for the “the team to be the figure of the World Cup”, but admits he wouldn’t mind Messi finding his best form in order to give Argentina a better chance of progressing as far as possible in the competition.
